It used to be that if you were looking for affordable basics that offered performance and style, all you’d find was disappointment. Every sock on the market was a compromise. If you wanted fun patterned socks with cushioned support, you’d need to throw your dress socks over your sport socks. Rhetorically…who double bags their feet? We started Pair of Thieves to fix all that by creating basics that didn’t compromise on any of those fronts.

Our solution is to make our product and our customer Ready for Everything. We create basics so versatile, by comparison, a swiss army knife is a paper weight. Every day you go from work to workout, to night out, to lights out. We make sure our basics comfort and perform at every stop on that tour.

Pair of Thieves was born from three close friends frustrated with bad socks. We built a collection of socks that lived in the illusive intersection of style, performance, and value. We got our first shot, in 2014, at Target stores across the US and sold out! That is, the product sold out. Not us. We’re still here at the helm, without so much as a single crypto coin of sway from outside investors. Only now, there’s a whole brilliant team of like-minded basics enthusiasts. Fun folks who dream in underwear, bring crazy new ideas, create top-notch product, serve our customers, change toner in that tricky printer and generally kick ass.

CASH WARREN

Objectively the most stylish of the three founders, Cash heads all product design and merchandising. From helping his team develop apparel that improves consumers’ daily lives to creating products that raise awareness for important causes, Cash keeps Pair of Thieves clothing looking great and doing good. Before producing socks and undies, he executive-produced several films and documentaries. Does Cash ever see himself merging both experiences to create a big-budget sock puppet trilogy? Response pending.

ALAN STUART

Alan is the creative lodestar for Pair of Thieves. As Executive Creative Director, he works closely with designers, social strategists, writers, and sometimes untrained animals to build a brand that people connect with. He has over 20 years of experience in design and advertising, many of which were spent running his own agency, One Long House. Based in Pair of Thieves’ Oregon office, Alan is committed to keeping Portland weird.

DAVID EHRENBERG

As the level head of this three-headed monster, David deftly balances business growth with preserving the company roots. He has decades of experience under his belt leading development, manufacturing, and operations. In addition to Pair of Thieves, David founded the sporting goods manufacturer, Del Rey International Mercantile Partners. You may also remember him from his game show appearance on Shop ‘til You Drop

We’ve been fortunate to partner with charities and contribute in a big way to several causes. From helping people struggling with homelessness, to crisis intervention for LGBTQ youth, to mental health outreach. With the support of our customers, we have been able to help important organizations addressing these needs. We created The Pair of Thieves Good Fits Collection to provide great products that help amazing causes. We’re proud to donate money, product, and time in association with each of the causes tied to the Good Fits collection.

• Donated over 3 million pairs of socks and other everyday essentials to homeless charities.
• Donated 50% of all Pride Collection proceeds to The Trevor Project for LGBTQ youth crisis intervention. Proud to donate $100,000 in 2022.
• Donated $2 from the sale of every pair of Never Alone socks to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
• Donated $25,000 to Facing History and Ourselves and organization dedicated to fighting racism through educational programs.
