National Sock Day

National Sock Day

Maybe we’re bias because we founded it, but December 4th, National Sock Day, is the best day of the year.

Humble brag one out of the way, let’s discuss the holiday. For most people, socks are just something they wear to keep their feet warm, to keep feet from coming into contact with their shoes, or maybe for max slide range while being Tom Cruise in Risky Business.  For us, socks are so much more. They’re comfort, expression, and caring. On National Sock Day, we focus huge on the caring.

What began as an exercise in silly, ended up being a moment for us to give back to our community. Socks are the number one requested item at shelters and the least donated. To date, we’ve donated over 3 million socks to the unhoused community. Every year, on December 4th, we look to serve communities in need through volunteer work and donation (including socks).

We’ve partnered with great charitable organizations like Baby2Baby, an organization providing children living in poverty with diapers, clothing, and the daily necessities that every child deserves.

Celebrate National Sock Day. Slip on your favorite pair, treat yourself to some new ones, volunteer if you can. On December 4th, rock out with your socks out!
